VIVAnews - The Anti-graft Commission’s (KPK) State Officials Wealth Report Directorate (LHKPN) reveals out personal assets of 560 members of the House of Representatives (DPR). However, 130 of them have not reported their properties as addressed by the law.
In the period of 2009-2014, the most obedient politicians are coming from the Justice and Prosperity Party (PKS) and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). As many as 92.98 percent PKS members and 91.49 percent of PDIP politicians have filed reports on their wealth.
In the Golkar Party Faction, out of 106 members, 28 have not reported. As for the National Mandate Party (PAN), KPK is still waiting for reports from the party’s 26 members.
Apparently, the same problem also lies on the reports of the House leaders’ wealth. Two House Deputy Speakers, Pramono Agung and Taufik Kurniawan were said to have not renewed their property lists since they took over the leadership in the House.
The last time Agung reported his wealth was on May 29, 2002. The amount of properties owned by the former PDIP General Secretary reached Rp 8.4 billion and U$ 75.127.
Meanwhile, Kurniawan’s last report was lodged on November 6, 2004. The total amount was reportedly Rp 2.7 billion.
Three other House leaders, Marzuki Alie, Budi Santoso and Anis Matta have fulfilled their obligations of submitting the reports.
KPK has also repeatedly informed the importance of the reports in various meetings at the House.
However, KPK Spokesperson Johan Budi SP said the commission could only remind the members of the House to perform their duties. There have not been any sanctions ruled for those who have not presented the reports, which is why KPK is not able to do more.
