VIVAnews - Central Jakarta Police Department deal with a syndicate of traffickers trading Junior High School students. The band of traffickers were arrested when they were about to sell seven girls.
According to Chief of Crime and Investigation Division at the Central Jakarta Police Department, Adj. Chief. Comm. Toni Surya Saputra, based on the suspect's confession, all victims are put to the market through Facebook.
The child trafficking has been going on for two years, said the suspect initialed DD. Clients carry out bids through phone calls. "The given clients then contacted and asked for the good price. When the deal is reached, the suspect sent the desired girl to the designated address," he said today, Jan 19.
The arrest was made following reports filed by seven children who had become DD's victims.
In addition, police also apprehended another man initialed AI involving in the case.
AI admitted of paying DD Rp2 million for one of the girls offered by DD.
All girls live in the same neighborhood with DD.
