VIVAnews - Former US Vice President, Al Gore, said all countries in all continents including Indonesia must be ready in dealing with future global issues such as, among any others, climate change.
He as well urged younger generations to go hand in hand in preserving the earth from fatal climate change effects through The Climate Project.
"It's important to understand about the current climate change crisis and alter our behaviors and attitudes [toward the environment]," he said on Thursday.
Local and national actions aiming at clean-energy-based economy and employment are thus highly required.
"All countries must focus more on sustainable food supply to adapt with the climate change. It's crucial to apply agricultural methods which enable more people to get enough staple foods," he said.
It is time for Indonesia, he said, to anticipate possible climate change effects more seriously. Better plans to meet food demand for the next 25 years are needed.
