VIVAnews - Minister of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Mustafa Abubakar, claimed no reports were made on alleged fund embezzlement over PT Garuda Indonesia aircraft procurements.
"No reports [are yet submitted]," he said on Wednesday.
Earlier, Garuda's labor union had filed an official report to the Corruption Eradication Commission concerning alleged corruption over Garuda aircraft procurements. The labor union then submitted several reports to the Judicial Commission at the House of Representatives due to the unresponded claims.
As of February 2011, PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk has received three new aircrafts of Airbus 330-200 types and nine others of Boeing 737-800 NG.
Garuda Indonesia President Director, Emrisyah Satar, said the purchase is part of Garuda's "quantum leap" vision. Garuda plans to own 153 aircrafts up until 2015 which consists of B737-800 NG, A330-200 and B777-300 ER.
Pujobroto, Garuda Indonesia Corporate Secretary, wanted evidence over suspicion that the national airline committed embezzlement. He said the company always puts forward e-procurement method, a solution to anticipate corruption.
"We're indeed the pioneer of the program," said Pujobroto.
