VIVAnews – The police will take firm actions against any mass organizations conducting illegal sweeps or raids. The reason for this is that a growing number of mass organizations have set out raids, which is common in Ramadan.
"They do not give warnings, they immediately arrest people," said Jakarta Regional Police spokesman Police Chief Comm. Baharudin Djafar.
Police have signed a joint agreement with owners of nightclubs, cafes, and the like and mass organizations. There is no reason for illegal raids to take place.
"We agreed to put in force all regional regulations," said Baharudin who is also former North Sumatra Police spokesman.
Baharudin went on to say, so far there is no mass organization or entertainment business owner that violated the rules. However, Baharudin said if the general public has information about an unlawful act, they can file a report.
"The police will take action with fellow regional Police, Civil Service Police Unit, tourism police, and this communication can still go on well," said Baharuddin.
