VIVAnews - The Eid ul-Adha is only week ahead, on November 6, 2011, and the pilgrimage season will soon be over. This means, the life of an Indonesian female migrant worker, Tuti Tursilawati is more critical.

The victim's family has disfavored forgiveness over her, and instead urged the authority to behead Tuti as soon as the Hajj season is over. On the other hand, Indonesia's efforts to free Tuti have resulted in nothing.

Vice Chairman of Indonesian Migrant Workers Union (SBMI), Ramses D Aruan said, so far there has been no significant progress. "It’s even more critical because the execution time is nearing. The plan to meet Saudi Royal Family is left unresponded," he told VIVAnews.

According to Ramses, the Task Force will re-evaluate their efforts today. "The kingdom leaves the matter to the family of Tuti’s employer," he said. Only mercy from the victim's family could free the maid of Majalengka origin from the decapitation.

Ramses claimed that he regretted the judicial system in Saudi Arabia which, according to him, is vulnerable to intimidation. For example, Saudi Arabian court's ruling also stated that Tuti had stolen her employer’s valuable things. It is questionable, because there is no witness to testify.

"We do not have faith in the trial process as there are no witnesses presented. There are suspicions that Tuti admitted to have committed the crime due to pressure or intimidation," said Ramses.

Ramses said Tuti's confession about the reason of the murder was not revealed in court and was not taken into account.

"The trial procedure is often only determined by people who do not have any legal background," he said.

He added that official courts do not exist while courts’ ruling equals king’s command. "There is investigation. But oddly enough, any verdict being passed depends on the family," he added.

A phone call made on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, between Tuti and her family was their final conversation.

"She is still hoping to be released and return to her hometown," he said.

Tuti was one out of five Indonesian maids who are facing beheading. All five have been sentenced to death by the Court of Saudi Arabia.
