VIVAnews - Data traffic among users of cellular users has incomparably augmented compared to voice traffic.
Indonesia cellular operator Telkomsel recorded that 2011 saw increase in its data traffic at 107 terabytes compared to 2010's 63 terabytes.
Voice traffic has witnessed a significant fall by 10 million minutes. In 2010, voice traffic hit 953 million minutes, whereas it only touched 936 million minutes in 2011.
"Cellular users are expecting more in data services. Thus, fine network quality will become a significant key factor," said Ricardo Indra, Telkomsel Head of Corporate Communications Division, today.
He said the company focuses on shaping up supporting elements in the telecommunication network, one of which is spectrum bandwith.
Telkomsel's consumer's growth in 2011 reached 14 percent. Moreover, the company's data traffic climbed by 55 percent compared to 2010.
