VIVAnews – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has sent back the Director of Investigation, Brig. Gen. Yurod Saleh, to the Indonesian Police Headquarters.
“Of course, the investigators are more solid now,” KPK’s Advisor, Abdullah Hehamahua, told VIVAnews today, March 7.
Abdullah said the expected solidity is not only concerned with the handling of Muhammad Nazaruddin’s case. “Now all cases will be handled professionally,” he said.
Earlier, KPK Deputy Head, Busyro Muqoddas, acknowledged that the transfer of Brigadier General Yurod Saleh was carried out due to his close connection with Nazaruddin.
“The reason behind the transfer of Brigadier General Yurod back to the Police Headquarters is because he has a close relationship with the suspect Nazaruddin,” said Busyro in Surabaya on Tuesday.
Busyro said that Police Chief, General Timur Pradopo, has prepared five officers as candidates to replace Yurod as KPK’s Director of Investigation. Yurod Saleh has not even served a year in KPK as Director of Investigation, replacing Ade Rahardja.
He was assigned KPK’s investigator between 2004 and 2009.
