VIVAnews – Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR), represented by the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources, has agreed to add another Rp24.52 trillion electricity subsidy to the 2012 Revised State Budget.
“So, the total subsidy for electricity reaches Rp24.52 trillion,” said Chairman of Commission VII, Teuku Rifki Pasha, in a Coordinating Meeting with the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources at the House of Representatives in Jakarta, on Thursday.
Therefore, the total approved electricity subsidy for the 2012 Revised State Budget will be Rp64.97 trillion. “The Rp24.52 trillion is added to the figure in the 2012 State Budget of Rp40.45 trillion,” said Rifki.
Rifki said the additional subsidy comprises the adjustment of commercial operation date (COD), coal, maintenance and other operational expense cut of Rp7.61 trillion; ICP increment of Rp4.70 trillion; diesel and genset rental increment of Rp3.29 trillion; electricity purchase from fixed IPP increment of Rp1.40 trillion; and loan interest expense cut of Rp2.48 trillion.
As for the supply of gas and decrease of electricity sales revenue, the Commission VII agreed to bring the number down to zero.
