VIVAnews – An alleged terrorist known as Endar Saputra was raided at a rented house on Jalan Al Iklas, Kampung Lio, No 12 RT06/01, Pondok Kacang Timur, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. During the ambush, he was with two of his colleagues.

From the information gathered, around 30 armed personnel of the antiterror squad Special Detachment 88 stormed the rented house at 1.30 AM. The raid, followed by gunshots, was launched around 2 AM. 

“Around 1.30 AM, the officers came to my house to ask permission and said that there are terrorists in our area,” said the Chief of RT06, Dahlan to VIVAnews, on Friday.

Prior to the raid, the security forces and local administrators called on the neighbors to leave the location.  It was known that Endar Saputra received two visitors at 7 PM yesterday with the initials of D and H. 

“During the event, his wife wasn’t around. But two of his visitors that came yesterday at 7 PM were there. When being told to go outside, no response was given. The antiterror squad then smoked and sprayed the house. However, the people inside didn’t come out until dozens of gunshots were heard,” said Dahlan.

The rented house was newly occupied by Endar Saputra, a Tasikmalaya resident born October 10, 1988, his wife, Endah Rahayu, and their 2 children. One of the children is around 4 months old. 

“However, during the gunshots, the victim’s wife and children were not anywhere around,” he said. 

Previously, on Saturday, March 24, the Special Detachment 88 squad along with Aceh Local Police shot an alleged terrorist identified as MN, who was believed to have involved in the shootings and terror acts in some parts of Aceh.  

The Aceh Police also arrested six people allegedly involved in shootings and terror acts in some parts of Aceh.  The Police also seized five assembled bombs made of modified pipes. 

A week earlier, the Special Detachment 88 force took down five alleged terrorists in Bali. They were killed in two spots.

Police claimed that at the time of the arrest, the suspects fought back and exchanged gunfire causing the Police to execute the suspects. They were accused of targeting jewelry stores, money changers and a café in Bali.
