Deputy Chairman of the Joint Secretariat, who is also the Chairman of Golkar Party, Aburizal Bakrie, mentioned it to reporters in Golkar’s headquarters in Jakarta, on Wednesday.

However, Aburizal did not say in details of the violated items. He cited the statement produced by the Secretary of the Joint Secretariat, Syarif Hasan saying the agreement clearly specifies that members of the Joint Secretariat must support and implement the government’s strategic policies.

It is also noted in the deal that, “if any member of the Joint Secretariat coalition chooses to oppose against, then the member must hand in resignation.”

According to Aburizal, the meeting of coalition leaders last night at Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s residence, who is also the Chairman of the Joint Secretariat, did not exchange views on any specific mechanism of PKS’ membership in the coalition. However, following the discord, PKS’ membership is ended accordingly.
