VIVAnews - The National Mandate Party (PAN) has decided to pin on the party's chairman, Hatta Rajasa, as a presidential candidate in 2014. PAN is currently selecting cadres to be listed in the party’s structure in efforts to meet the double digit target in the 2014 Elections.
PAN’s Treasurer, Jon Erizal, stated that the party is certain to achieve 3.5% of parliamentart threshold in the 2014 elections. The party is even positive to get 10% of votes. In order to be capable of naming a presidential candidate, the party must obtain votes of between 15% and 20%.
“The candidacy of Mr. Hatta has been confirmed. The party's national working meeting has picked Mr. Hatta as the only candidate,” said Jon Erizal on Wednesday.
“We see that the party’s best cadre that we can offer to the people of Indonesia is Mr. Hatta,” he added.
“We are working hard in reorganizing the party’s structure by December 2012 to the local branches. If we could get there, around 11-12 million people will have joined our management,” he explained.
