Indonesia KPK to Question Hary Tanoesoedibjo

VIVAnews - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is set to question the owner of PT Bhakti Investama, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, on Wednesday, June 13. 

"[He will be] quizzed out as a witness," said KPK spokesperson, Johan Budi SP, from Jakarta. 

A businessman and Chief of Experts of the National Democratic Party, Tanoesoedibjo is scheduled to be put to the question at 10 am. The questioning will be in line with alleged graft over Chief of Monitoring and Consultation Division of South Sidoarjo Tax Office, Tomy Hindratno, by James Gunardjo.  

During the search on last Friday in Bhakti Investama's office, KPK confiscated tax restitution documents belonging to the company. "He will be questioned under the allegation of tax restitution in Bhakti Investama," said Johan. 

In addition to Tanoesoedibjo, KPK also summons directors of Bhakti Investama, Darma Putra and Wandhy Wira Riady, two finance officers of Bhakti Investama, Lany and Maya, for questioning. 

Tanoesoedibjo had submitted information on the alleged tax case to his lawyer. 

"You may ask about the matter to Mr. Andi Simangunsong [lawyer] and Arya Sinulingga [corporate secretary of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk]," Tanoesoedibjo told VIVAnews on Monday.
