Anas Should be Named Suspect: Nazaruddin

VIVAnews – The probe into sports training center and school project in Hambalang has yet to end although the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had looked into dozens of people involving in the project. 

The Commission has yet to name any suspect on the case. However, Chairman of KPK, Abraham Samad, hinted that KPK will within the near future announce the suspect. 

Former Treasurer of the Democratic Party, Muhammad Nazaruddin, who is usually bold in mentioning the parties involved in the Hambalang project, said Anas Urbaningrum should be named suspect in the Hambalang case as well. 

“Anas Urbaningrum should be (named suspect) as from the financial point-of-view, he was the one who received the fund. He’s also involved in the policy-making,” said Nazaruddin on Thursday, June 28. 

In addition to Anas Urbaningrum, Nazaruddin believed that Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs (Menpora), Andi Mallarangeng, should also be named suspect in the case.  

Earlier, Nazaruddin stated that Hambalang’s budget plan had been arranged by Andi Mallarangeng and Anas Urbaningrum. 

“Anas gave the order to me, Angie, Mirwan Amir, Mahyuddin, and Ignatius Mulyono. In the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, Andi Mallarangeng arranged everything,” said Nazaruddin. 

However, both Anas and Andi denied the allegations. 

“It’s not true. I’m not a land broker. I’m not a land certificate broker,” said Anas. 

Meanwhile, Andi Mallarangeng said the budget for the development of Hambalang project has complied with the procedures.
