VIVAnews - PT Semen Gresik (SMGR) will appoint an advisor in light of its plan to acquire a Malaysian cement company. It is expected that the advisor can provide the result of the due diligence report this year, according to Deputy Chief Commissioner of Semen Gresik Darjoto Setyawan in Jakarta on Thursday, April 30.
Setyawan said that the plan to acquire the Malaysian company is still listed in the company's agenda. The company hopes that the acquisition can be carried out immediately after they receive the report.
However, the company has not yet prepared budget or selected the company that will be acquired. "We will wait for the advise," he said.
He added that the company is soon going to sign a syndicated loan managed by PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. and PT Mandiri Sekuritas valuing Rp 6 trillion.
The company has previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the creditors. The loan will be allocated for financing two new factories in Pati, Central Java, and Sulawesi.
