VIVAnews - Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) stated that there are six domestic companies intending to manage PT Semen Kupang. Unfortunately, the six companies are reluctant to settle their debts to PT Bank Mandiri Tbk., said SOEs Deputy for Mining, Strategic Industry, Energy, and Telecommunication, Sahala Lumban Gaol, in Jakarta on Wednesday night, May 13.
Gaol said that the assets management company (PPA) and Bank Mandiri are now trying to rescue Semen Kupang by selling the company, as well as its debts, or through an operational partnership.
PT Semen Gresik Tbk will have difficulties in rescuing Semen Kupang due to Semen Kupang's quite small business scale.
