VIVAnews - Nurfarah or Farah, Ujang Romansyah's girlfriend, who wrote on her boyfriend's Facebook account, will be summoned by the Bogor Police on Tuesday, July 7.
Farah will be questioned as a witness in the defamation case against Felly Fandini Juliastini on Facebook.
“On Tuesday, July 7, we'll be summoning Nurfarah, Ujang Romansyah's girlfriend,” Head of Bogor Police's Crime and Investigation Division, Commissioner Irwansyah said to VIVAnews on Monday, July 6.
He said Nurfarah would be questioned about the reason behind her act of sending a message via Facebook to Juliastini in offensive words.
After summoning Nurfarah, the police will also invite an expert from the Communication and Information Department to determine whether or not Nurfarah's act falls into the category of defamation.
“So, the naming of suspects depends on the statement of the expert,” Irwansyah said.
Earlier, Romansyah, who was accused of committing defamation via Facebook , assumed the case was merely based on jealousy.
Romansyah told about Juliastini to his girlfriend, Farah, an 18-year-old girl who lives in Taman Cimanggu, Tanah Sareal, Bogor.
“Felly and her mother reported the case to the Bogor Police because she was jealous of Farah,” Romansyah told VIVAnews on Wednesday, July 1.
He also said the message, which allegedly insulted Juliastini, was not written by him. He said it was Farah who wrote the message on Facebook via his mobile phone.
To VIVAnews on Wednesday, July 1, Romansyah explained that he had known Juliastini since junior high school in Bogor. But, later he continued his study at SMA Kosgoro Bogor while Juliastini went to SMAYPHB.
“We hardly met ever since. We only spoke to each other on the phone or Facebook,” he said.
On June 23, 2009, when Farah was holding Romansyah's mobile phone, she saw Juliastini's message to her girlfriend.
“Farah replied her message and Felly was insulted by Farah's words”, Romansyah said.
”Farah said things that were considered as insulting Felly and her mother,” he said.
She wrote: “Hey, bh, back off. You're just an ugly s**t.”
Juliastini and her mother, who live in Kampung Sumur Wangi RT 01 RW 05, Tanah Sereal subdistrict, reported Romansyah to the Bogor Police.
Irwansyah said his team had coordinated with the experts to solve the case. Romansyah is subjected to one-year imprisonment for expressing offensive words to his friend on Facebook. He is subjected to Criminal Article 310 and 311 on defamation.
