Pertamina to Prepare US$250 Million

VIVAnews - Pertamina Geothermal Energy budgeted the company's capital expenditure valuing US$250 million in 2010. The expenditure increases 92.3 percent compared to the 2009 capital expenditure reaching US$130 million.

Pertamina Geothermal's president director Abadi Poernomo said that the budget would be allocated to star 35 geothermal wells drilling.

"[The capital expenditure] is mainly allocated for infrastructure set-up and other needs," he said in Jakarta on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Poernomo explained that the geothermal wells drilling would be started in 2010. The wells will be used to prepare the second period of the 10,000 Megawatt acceleration program, which includes Lahendong 4 power plant that is targeted to be in construction phase in the end of 2009.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Geothermal targets Rp 700 billion for the 2009 net profit.
